Abstract:The BRICS Forum has been taking special relevance in the last five years. To measure better the economic and political significance of the BRICS, it is necessary to contrast their acts with the actions taken by the G7 following the Great Recession. What are the visions and strategies promoted by the G7 and BRICS to overcome the Great Recession? To answer that question, this paper has been divided in three sections: in the first, will be studied the G7 great powers as core States and the economic policies promoted by this group; in the second, will be analyzed brics regional powers as semi-peripheral actors, its growing role in the global economy and its stances facing the international order; in the third, will be compared the actions taken by G7 and brics Forum to manage the current global crisis.Downloads
